  • Basic TCP/IP networking (MAC and IP addressing; IP routing)

Course Content

The TRNG-0550 course is a practice-based course that guides the student in the deployment of an IronPoint mobility wireless controllers and access points. The student gains experience in initializing, configuring, and maintaining a sophisticated wireless network. Lecture topics are reinforced though real-world labs involving multiple interfaces and several realistic deployment scenarios including: L2 and L3 networking, mixed voice/data environments, and several authentication methods.

Course Objectives
After completing this course, students will be able to:

  • Create wireless networks using both simple and advanced authentication methods
  • Use both the Command Line Interface (CLI) and Web Interface (WI) tools to configure wireless services
  • Monitor performance aspects of the wireless network.
  • Deploy IronPoint Mobility wireless networks in both L2 and L3 topologies.
  • Troubleshoot common problems.
